MS Dhoni

Before the Chennai Super Kings’ IPL 2025 match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk on April 11, veteran MS Dhoni had a lighthearted conversation with his old teammate Dwayne Bravo. Dhoni made a lighthearted remark about Bravo’s switch sides during the practice session, calling him a “traitor.”

Bravo, who played a significant role in CSK’s championship runs in 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2022, is now KKR’s coach after leaving CSK’s coaching staff last season. He was Chennai’s bowling coach in 2023, but this year he took Gautam Gambhir’s place in the KKR camp after the latter became head coach of Team India.

Dhoni is the ‘NEW’ Captain

Following Ruturaj Gaikwad’s exclusion from the tournament due to an elbow injury, Dhoni has returned to his captaincy duties for CSK. Dhoni’s leadership offers hope for a much-needed comeback as Chennai struggles after losing four straight games.

Bravo and Dhoni maintained a lighthearted demeanor despite the high stakes. “The traitor is here,” Dhoni declared as Bravo reached the nets.
